Event Details
We set sail to explore the Northern part of the Isle of Bute. The stretch of water is called Kyles of Bute. This is an area of outstanding beauty. Little islands called Burnt Islands are surrounded by fjord-like sea lochs and magnificent hills.
This is going to be an overnight anchorage in a lonely and wild place full of sea life. It is one of the darkest places as well. No light pollution from big cities. If we are lucky we'll have a starry night to learn a little bit of Astro.
Not to mention that we will be practising with sails, ropes and charts, learning a couple of knots, and of course have a chance to helm the yacht.
